Life without water
Well, not actualy life, but the building blocks. I was reading about Saturn's moon Titan and I came across this experiment that attempts to show how the building blocks for life can be created in Titan's atmosphere. The part that I thought was very interesting is that this experiment didn't use liquid water!

Quote:In October 2010, Sarah Horst of the University of Arizona reported finding the five nucleotide bases—building blocks of DNA and RNA—among the many compounds produced when energy was applied to a combination of gases like those in Titan's atmosphere. Horst also found amino acids, the building blocks of protein. She said it was the first time nucleotide bases and amino acids had been found in such an experiment without liquid water being present

My personal #1 reason that I don't like religion is because I like knowledge! And Religion suppresses knowledge; not just the knowledge unfortunately, but it suppresses the entire drive to understand.
